I'm thinking about making a custom oil cooler for my 05. Keep having bad luck with the stock ones. Thinking about doing away with it completly or maybe using a tranny cooler or something like that off a truck. Anybody done this? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Keep busting it due to mounting brackets breaking off. Tried gusseting them but they still break off. I've replaced it twice just looking for another way to go.

You always try converting it to 06 specs.Look on PWR website.
They have something differant, Thought about this myself.

Ya i had that same problem i went through 3 coolers in one year after gusseting them and double welding them nothing worked. come to find out my frame was tristed just a very little bit.straightened the frame and pushed the tabs on the frame so the cooler was easyer to slide around them then it has been fine for the rest of the year 4 races hope this helps

Yea we just checked the frame and all that and they turned out fine. It lines up perfect with the brackets and holes.?? I dunno. Ill check out that PWR thing and see if i can afford it. lol. But does anyone have anymore info on Maybe bypassing it or something? I aint trying to lock the motor down or anything but i'd be willing to try it if i knew it would work. ???
