Alrighty so I have a 04 450r with +2 moose a-arms, ohlins shocks, pro circuit 496 pipe, and some other moose racing stuff like bumpers, nerf bars etc...(pic should be uploaded) now I am eager for my power but stumped on where to go from here I figure I'll pick up a k&n airfilter and maybe a rev box within a month but not sure what should come after that, any help is appreciated.

dont get a rev box. Get an air filter like you said (K&N or UNI, its your choice), then rejet and such and I recommend that you run with an open lid, with either a outerware cover on the box or filter, or both, and then I say a new cam and piston. Save the carb for later. I run my 05 with a 03 CRF cam, open lid, and Rossier exhaust and its more than enough power for XC racing and when i race, i race A class. Im not saying head porting is a bad idea, I am just saying that there are things that I would do before that.

I agree with Sjorge300EX, one of my 450rs has a stage II hotcam with nothing else but a full rossier and a twin air with the air box lid removed.... the cam wakes the quad up a lot...... just my opinion..

Get a piston the 04 05 only had a 10:1 piston stock bump that baby up to 13.5:1 you can still run pump gas and gain a lot more power.

i wouldnt change the compression i was told thats what is making me spend 2k to re-do motor well part of the problem

i was told my the guys at my local honda that it loses its reliabilty with a HC piston were putting stock comprssion but after market piston in mine
