Bought my 02 400ex a bit back and have had nothing but problems with the rear axle/locknut/hubs. It's a Durablue X axle to the best of my knowledge. It has the +2 capabality meaning the rear wheel hub has a pinch bolt that allows the hub to extend past stock.
The problem is the hubs were beat when I bought the quad, they were egg shaped. To correct this I shimed the hubs with some flat brass and that worked till today when I snapped one of the pinch bolts entering the trails. The hubs the last i checked were 300 plus, equal to a stock axle from anyone online.
I ride almost totatly rocky terrain, so I would like some suggestions for something strong. I definetly want to return to splined hubs and I've read a bit about people complaining of their wheel hubs not staying tight on the +1 - +4 axles. So any suggestions will be appreciated and experiences with stock/aftermarket.
