400ex rear fender on 250x

anybody have or know of a thread on mounting/convrting a 400ex rear fender to a 250x w/ stock 250x seat? would it be better to purchase a 400ex seat? anybody have modification pictures? thanks guys

should just fit right on

the fender does not just fit on. the fender support is different, the plastic where the seat meets the fender, is not the same as 250x - where the 250x seat is larger than the 400ex seat. mountings for the seat are close, but new holes need to be drilled out for the 250x seat to be able to be mounted and with longer bolts. the rear fender mounts are slightly different. just looking for some help from people which have successfully acomplished this modification. take no affense to this reply.

i thought you where only talking about the backs... because for the backs im pretty sure all you have to do is put the 250x seat on it and call it a day
