A few things to say:

1) Z4's aren't that fast IMO... more of a cruiser really. 0-60 in the high 6's I think.

2) GTIs are beasts when built properly. I can't tell if that was a 20th anniversary GTI or an R32. The 20th anniversary was basically just a regular GTI with some visual things done to it, but just like any other GTI with the 1.8T engine, they can be built to make really good amounts of hp. The R32 is AWD with a VR6 engine, more expensive to build up but really nice cars. I'm going to guess it was a 20th GTI.... probably chipped, with a full exhaust system, and possibly an upgraded turbo.

Oh, my speakers were turned down low. haha. Twin turbos on the GTI? That would be beastly on the highway.... probably would suck on launch though, you would just spin the front tires! haha

I would have to say that's a fact not opinion. Ahaha. Z4's are more of a luxury car when there stock. My buddy has an M series Z3 and that thing was pretty lame stock. He bought a turbo kit in June or July and man that thing hauls now. Bad thing is any BMW is expensive to boost. I can't remember exactly but I think he said he paid $10,000 for the kit. I almost shat.

Lets not coat it with sugar. You could find a decent impreza for that price but the only STI you're going to find for 10k is a salvage title. Yeah it's a lot of damn money. lol

I believe this is the one he bought but I can't remember. I will have to ask him next time I see him.

If he had just sold the Z3 M and not bought the turbo kit, he could have bought an STI! haha
