I went on my third shorter ride today on my new 2002 300ex just purchased today, and I have been riding it very easy to break it in. 10 minutes, 15 min, 20 min, and I started noticing my headlight was getting dimmer, so I parked it, and then I went to start it 10 minutes later and the starter just clicks and like is locked, all the lights work. This is my 5 or 6 atv and I have never experienced this problem before. Is my starter bad or what? May just hot, it was very warm to the touch. Is a starter a warranty item? Please help

For real. Thats the only way to do it. Dont act a punk to them though. Be cool about it, but if they act like they dont want to do it or if they're acting punks then its ok to be a punk to them. haha

Ummm The same thing started happening on my 400EX and I was just about ready to post something about it. But I could push start it and it would work fine and after that the starter worked fine the rest of the ride. It did this several times and I noticed the n light would come on and then it would click like it was dead. I realized the symptoms and remembered it hapenning b4 on my Yammy champ 100. It was the positive wire to the battery. It was loose so I tightned it up and have had no problems since. Maybe this is the problem maybe not but its certainly worth a try just to check and see. Cuz the honda shop dont pay for the gas it takes to drive there and back.
