trade raptor 660 for ltr450???

Hey guys, you are the only people to seem to help, i posted in the raptor section and the suzuki 20 views each in 2 days :( wow. sorry for this but i hope its okay, if not ill delete,

i have this raptor 660 2005 without title currently

-ITP holeshot tires and rims
-Pro taper handle bars
-AC nerf bars
-quad boss suspension covers
-Custom Holographic paint
-Billet breather
-gripper seat
-just serviced for 460 dollars, have receipt

now basically i have been trying to sell this for stock retail value on nada for 3500 obo...i can get one over 2200, its rediculous, some guy i contacted who loves in boston, i live on long island new york, said he would drive his 2006 lt450r to my house and swap no cash either side. Its all stock except for pro armor nerf bars, black asv levers, and he said skid plate, besides that stock. He doesnt have a title either. I want to ride this lt for about a month and sell it will i be able to get my raptors asking price? is a it a fair trade, am i getting the better or worse end, thanks

I would be careful with a newer quad that has no title...it was sold with one and who knows if it is stolen or even paid off. The bank could own that quad and if you trade for it, then you would have the banks quad in your garage. I can see that situation get ugly. Just my 2 cents.

should i ask him for the vin and than call suzuki and run the number through and ill see his reaction with the question too at the same time?

if you can find out that the numbers are clean on the lt 450r. Go for it, raptors handle like dog turds and arent much faster. You will be much happier with a lt. Plus the lt is 50 inches wide stock so you wont really need a arms unless your going long travel.

i just pmed you about buying that cap btw...um thats the reason the guy wants to trade, he wants a less wide quad for the trails, how wide is the raptor and also im going to sell the lt anyway lol

I would just check it out the best you that you can and if you feel good about it, then do it. Trust your gut. If something does not seem right, do not do it.

My gut has helped me out in the past. Maybe I should have listened to it more. :D

get rid of the rap turd asap.. they are junk and handle worse than worse.. but the lt is not what i would want either but better than what you got x10. if its not hot...:eek2:

funny you say that, he gave me the vin and asked for mine, obviously i dont have title but its clean...his happen to come up at an 03 Honda trx350??? i called him and he freaked out, he bought it off his friend, well traded his pickup for it and the kid had the frame powder coated...the kid wrote down the vin or told him and he gave it to me, the vin came up as the honda, he said hes dorting it out, hes glad i told him and if he cant figure out whats going on he does not want to trade to put me in a situation he put himself in. If all is good, than yes trade will initiate but for this second no. The reason he wanted to trade was because the lt is too wide for the trails he rides in. that was his reasoning from the beginning.
