2001 400 ex with no spark

I'm not sure what happened but I was riding in the rain and the bike just died. It won't start due to no spark from coil how can I test where the problem is originating?
I have almost all electrical equipment needed along with a Clymer manual. I just need to know tricks to test everything.

may not be helpful but on the raptors if you have no spark the first thing you do is unplug your regulator/rectifier and if you get spark it means your stator is fried......also check all your grounds and put in a new plug

check your fuse. check your ground and check your coil.
