What PARTS????

well i have a 2007 400ex with slip on exhaust, jetted, and K&N airfilter, but my question is christmas is coming up and i dont know what to get that as cheap, im on like a 300 dollar budget, and i was wondering what you guys would get if you were me?????

big bore kit with stg2 cam 300$ cant beat it!!

If you have all your safety gear, helmet, boots, neck brace, chest protector. I would hang on to that $300 bucks. There will be lots of oil changes to come and filters to buy, tires when those wear out, witch don’t take long. Lots of little things that will strip your wallet real fast. But if that 300 is extra then save a little more and do a recreational P&P and a cam. Should do you some good.

Headpipe... If you get a big bore kit you wont get all you can out of the stock headpipe. I raced a friend that had the same set-up as mine at the time but with the stock headpipe and his was really slower than mine and lacked power and throttle response

Dude, Fill the gas tanks on the truck and the Quad, $80.00. Go to your favorite riding spot, Ride till you can't take it anymore. Back to town for a stop at the local Massage parlor for a little clean-up, a relaxing massage and to get that big knot worked out of the Head-pipe(If you know what I mean),$150.00. Finally a stop at the party store on the way home for a good jug of Vodka $25.00. Total = $255.00

I would get a arms but i dont think i will be able to find ones for $300. i was thinking bout gettin 450r shocks and i might do that if i cant find any a arms

If you aren't afraid of doing a little fabrication, you can pick up a set of "new" KFX 450R shocks from the same guy I did for $150.

Just make an offer. He instantly accepted $150, so you might want to try something even lower just for the hell of it.

I got my A-Arms new for $200 and love them. You just have to keep your eye out on here and ebay... new or used. Also, I know you said you have only $300 to spend but for $50 more you could buy a set of standard travel +2's any color from Burgard Cycle on Friday (Black Friday Sale)

I picked up some good used parts and saved a lot of money.
Here is what you can do if you shop around and don’t get in a big hurry.


JD+2” a arms with new bushings and tie rods.
Lone star +2” adjustable axel with all lone star carrier, hubs, break and sprocket hubs.
Lone star +2” swing arm
All used and in good shape for $400.00
Then I found a used pair of 450 shocks that had three rides on them for $100.00
And an elka rear shock for $300.00 with about a half a season on it. Had it revolved and re sprung for $60.00

Grand total $860.00 for a complete suspension set up.
I’m guessing if I had gone with new parts this would have run me at least $2500.00.

Take your time and shop around there are a lot of parts out there for the ex.

I was watching a new set of +2 Burgard arms on eBay that were stating at $200. The listing ended and it didn't even get one bid. I could have picked them up for $200 but I was broke at the time. I'm waiting for them to get re-listed and then gonna try and grab them then.
