I know this is a 250R forum but I just built a 87 LT250R and it shakes quite a bit more them my built ATC250R did,I have the feeling the LT is a higher vibrating machine do you guys know anything of this?

counterbalancer is out more than likley, mark is peened into shaft in between splines on that engine, ran into the same problem, couldnt find the timing marks at first. It was as smooth as a honda when it was timed correctly. hope this helps

I put the single dot from the counter balancer gear between the two on the gear from The crank shaft as I did with the Honda 250R plus I know someone with a 1990 LT250 that does it! I'm gonna have to look it over I guess:grr:

is the gear on the ballancer timed to the ballancer is what i was questioning, had a friend that did it before, and finally we found that other timing mark. I'm not real up on LT's, but it was a 90, powervalve engine, not sure if yours is the early or late engine, just something to check, may be fine though.

yeah, its been awhile since I was inside my LT, but I do recall there is a 3rd gear that must get lined up versus the 2 gears for a TRX...
