I was wondering if you guys knew where I could find some solid colored neoprene shock covers. I put a set of KFX 450R shocks on my 400EX this weekend and would like to try some covers. I was looking for either a solid black or maybe even a red. I saw the Dirt Skins but they don't list any for the 450R, only the 400. Do the 400s and 450Rs have the same shocks? Or at least will the 400 covers fit the 450R shocks?

No... the 400 covers will not work.

If you will notice, the 450 diameter is a lot larger.

Shockwears and companies like that make covers for the KFX450R.
There are others I'm sure.

I NEED a set too.
I just haven't seen a style/color I want yet.

The Shockwares are nylon which is pretty rough on the springs, wears the paint off. That's why I was looking for neoprene ones. What about the 700 shocks? Different size, too? There's a set of Monster ones on eBay that claim they are for 450Rs and 700s. If they fit Dirt Skins sell a set for the 700 that I could use.

PEP makes neoprene ones that can be used on the KFX shocks.

Thanks but I actually just ordered some today. I contacted Dirt Skins and they are custom making a set for the fronts and including the stock rear cover for me. $39 for all three plus a t-shirt. Those Pep ones are nice just a little expensive, though.

that's cool then. $39 seems like a great deal for having two custom made and getting one for the rear and getting a free t-shirt too. :)

Yeah, I saw the "measure your atv shock" button on their site.
Figured they would want too much to make a set.

Looks like a very reasonable deal to me.
Might have to do the same thing.

Might have to do the same thing. Yeah, it's the best deal I could find for neoprene covers. I'll let you know how they fit.
