VP Racing Fuels sell some square and round stand-ups. Don't think they have any clear ones, though.

I was wondering the same thing. I couldn't see them being any smaller, though. I need some nice square stand-ups myself so I'll be sticking with this thread.

i think that there is a combo that you can get also that has a quick refill cap and the tank. if that helps anyone. you can just flip the tank into the cap and let it fill. you see them at gncc's and stuff when the riders pit. steve

i think the one i am thinking of is the ims one

https://www.imsproducts.com/

will the one without a probe work for regular tanks. it sounds like a probe uses the dry break receiver. i am not real sure though. steve

Which IMS one are you looking at? Also, I found out they're called utility/fuel jugs, not gas tanks. Just thought I'd let you know since it might help with the searching.

yeah that clear one. it looks like an ims one. I was looking that the 4 gallon ims one but it says that it requires a stand. The tank is 85 bucks and the stand is another 85. ouch. i didnt look to see how much the 11 gallon was that will be what i get most likely if i would get one. I am still wondering on the tops though. I guess i should call them and find out. steve

That one in the picture he posted isn't an IMS can. What you are looking for seems to be regular old race fuel jugs like the VP jugs posted above. As far as I know, IMS only makes the "dry break" systems where the dry break fuel jug needs a support stand, and can only be used with special dry break gas tanks on the quad. These are more for XC or baja type racing events where they need a very fast fuel fill up. Expensive, and I really don't see the point if you aren't racing in these types of events.

Google "race fuel jug" and a lot of results will pop up. All kinds of containers to choose from.

This is the one I have, I have 2 of them. $30 at my local dealer, but here is a link for a mail order place.

The cap is about 3 inches in diameter, I can almost put my hand in it. I have 1 1/2 id fuel line on mine, but you could go even bigger if you realy want it to fill fast.

I have a few of those square cans and they work real well for putting fuel in the bike. I have heard that if you store leaded fuel in clear container that the lead will separate from the fuel from the sun light. Don’t know if that’s true though. I store my race fuel in the steel can it comes in and only transfer it to the square can when I am ready to use it. Get a dark can and that will help. The other thing about plastic cans is they are pours and will lose fuel over time. So store it in the steel can till your ready to use it.
