14 - 36 is what I run on wide open tracks.
14 - 37 on tight tracks.

i would be running a 15-38 setup with 18s on a track and see how it does. the stuff i ride on that is track type stuff would be good with that. steve

Jesse i ran 14 37 on the yellow machine and that seemed like the perfect formula.

you'll hate life. we put 18s on my quad and kept my gearing the same, and I got to 5th gear before I knew what to do with myself and couldn't keep up.

but now that i think about it, the gearing between the 04 and older, and the 05 and newer is different... so that should change things.

Yeah but theres no top end with the 14-37. That works good on a tight track buy if it has long straits then I go to the 14-36 for a little more top end.

94 is stock so if you go with a 37 and a 14 i would go with a 92. you would not have much adjustment if any at all with a stock length chain. once the stock one starts to stretch it is hard to get enough out of it with a 14 tooth. you may even be able to go down to a 90 if you can find one. just my .02 though. steve

Just tell them it’s for an ex and it will come with a few extra links. You will probably need to cut a few links out when you install it. For mx I use a non o-ring chain, it takes less power to turn the chain. But if I was doing a lot of mud ridding I’d go with an o-ring chain. Get a few master links when you order your parts. Those little E- clips have a tendency to pop off when you put them on, never to be seen again.

lets see they have 82 to 104 in even numbers so you should be good to with either a 90 or 92.

it should last you a long time, it is a great chain. the x ring is the only chain i will run from now on. i have one on my cbr and my 400 and have had zero problems with them in about 3 years of hard riding in mud, water, sand, anything imaginable. steve
