will this Tusk billet cap fit my 89 250r gas tank?

i have an 89 with a regular sized tank, will this cap fit my 89 even though the lister listed it as 86-04 xr250...the reason i ask is not because i am stupid lol its because i saw another auction with the gas cap i wanted but he was out of red and blue. In his auction it says it can work on...a bunch of quads 400ex 250r etc....so my question is will it fit?
