i have a procircut t-4 exhaust and i just ordered my curtis sparks x-6 bigcore tuesday.i will do a direct comparison between the two i will also be getting my bike dyno'd soon if i had the money i would dyno it with the procircut pipe then the curtis sparks pipe but the pipe pretty much broke me so i doubt i will be able to do it.

i finally got my pipes today so hopefully sunday i should be able to update u guys i wont be able to get to the dyno until maybe the 18th of this month so i wont be able to give a versus dyno number because i dont think i could hold out for 2 weeks with out putting this x-6 big core on. i spent to much money now im ready to see if it was worth it.

today i put the new exhaust on.
sound test at idle its i tie. the both sound about the same maybe because of the down turn on the tip of the sparks pipe vs just being open on the t-4.
but hitting the gas its no comparsion hands down the sparks just sounds better but it is louder.it is a deep throated sound thats loud vs the t-4 kind of being a weaker loud pitch sound.maybe because of the new carb and the engine work my bike doesnt sound like the rest of the 400s that i ride with any more.next test will be tomorrow when i go riding.

well i have bad news:( now with the extra gain in power from the carb and the exhaust my small slipage that i had in my clutches just got much worse i could not switch pass 3rd gear and the bike was reving to the moon trying to get there. it took every thing i had plus a little bit of pulling to get it to lift up in first. in came up 1 time all day. i had to hold the throttle half way down just to get the bike to roll. so with all the money i just spent on the carb and exhaust. the dyno that i was going to get done in 2 weeks will have to pay for the new clutches and then i probley have to wait a couple of more weeks to get them installed and get an oil change.

have you adjusted the clutch?

no. i didnt mess with the clutch. the bike rode good last week all i did was take my stock header and my t-4 pipe off and put the x-6 on. i also noticed that my header melted a little bit of my clutch cable it doesnt seem that bad but i could be wrong because i never got a chance to really ride today it was bad from the jump. could it just be the clutch cable??????????

the cable could be stretched but adjust the clutch on the right hand side of the motor. easy to do or adjust it on the lever. you have 2 adjustments right there. use them.
