I am going to the dunes and want to know what tires to get. I am not doing to be doing that many drags. Just screwing around because it will be my first time. I will have a 440 by then.

if you are just going to be screwing around i would get "v" paddles because you will have more acceleration.

You don't know what the heck you're talking about!!!
V-Paddles are for better handling and turning. (General riding) and Straight paddles are for acceleration and hillclimbing and drag racing. I've got pictures go here Dune pictures of mine (http://communities.msn.com/400EXWorld/dunepics.msnw)

yes the v paddles are for better handling and turning, i would recomend the sand sharks they are a great tire and they do not wear as fast as some of the other paddles do. i have them right now but am about to order a pair of sand devils that are straight scoop paddles, ill tell you how they are once i get them.

Peace

Yeah I got Sand Sharks. They are really heavy but they are heavy duty.

Use Sand Tires Unlimited Sand Skate 1 with the comp groove or the Sand Skate 2. The 2s are thicker and therefore more puncture resistant but the comp grooved 1s are much lighter. The choice is yours depending on how much "debris" is in the sand you ride in. In my opinion, these are the best sand tires made, period. 10x9 douglas wheels are best with the 2s and 10x10 wheels are more suited to the 1s. I ride 99.5% dunes and use both types.

If you are a strictly hillshooter type, then 8 or 10 paddle Scat Trac Haulers are the hot ticket.
