Front wheel hub question

Does the 400ex require a spacer in between the bearings on the front hubs?

There is a spacer as the hub comes from the factory so I woud assume its is needed, although i have seen hubs sent here that did not have the spacer due to the owner either losing or forgeting to reinstall it
