I'm looking for one of those switch boxes that are on the left side of the handle bars. They control whether its on or off and the headlights. I hope you know what i'm talking about. I can't find any on ebay and I need another. Thanks for the help.

lol, i feel stupid now , thanks. I was hoping this would be a 20 to 30 dollar part but they're all 40 to 50, a little more than I wanted to pay. Oh well nothing I can really do about it.

you could also try to clean it with brake parts cleaner but i caution you as to getting it on the black parts, i would gut it out first if possible then clean it since the cleaner can be harsh on the plastic and turn it white in some cases. I had mine quit working a couple of years ago and decided to buy a new one on ebay but i dont think they were 50 bucks yet then. I couldnt get it working since the copper was starting to get wore out also along with being dirty. steve

It's not that mine needs cleaned, its the fact that it flipped down a hill and smashed the box.

oh well then you have a totally different issue indeed. :D i guess you should start shopping then. lol. you could wire a high and low beam light switch and a killswitch in and you would not need to use it if you were up to it. i had a handlebar mounted switch a while back and was going to do it, although i wanted to use a stock plug design and did not want to buy a new switch just to cut off the connector. i will see if i can find the thread i had about it. I know you can wire it if you take the high and lows from the switch and wire them into the new one. The kill switch would be about the same also if you get a tusk one or something that is normally closed to wire direct. this would not be grounded then just like the stock style one. you would need to get a starter switch like a kx switch off of a dirt bike and wire it correctly also, these are kill switches on the bikes but will work as a starter on these also.
i decided that it would cost almost as much to make it all as it is for the new switch getting the different ones used on ebay or really cheap so i decided not to do it.

he doesnt have lights though.

to add the lights you would just wire in a different light switch.

heres some more info on a starter switch that you would need. steve

I can still ride it down a hill to start it up, so until I get the money for a setup like that or another stock switch set i'll do that. although It may suck if I get stuck at the bottom of the hills and its dead :D lol. I'll get around to replacing it eventually lol.
