1) i bought new OEM full yellow fenders today

2) the tires stay....but the new hipers should be here anyday

3) i went to dinner with friends ...so no pc'n

4) its too cold for washing and stuff so thats gonna have to wait

5) ronald mc donald would be a badass mofo if he was elka red and mirror yellow:devil

forum....no jewelry here....no use for it. and i dont live by a clock so no watch either:D

the motor will be pulled and a few "lil" modifacations made;) then i will go to makin some color changes. very plain and simple....bright red and some chrome smoke....polish some stuff...jet coat the exhaust etc etc.

i just like ridin the R better i dont know,this bike is totally set up for xc, lt a arms skid plates and all.
but the most important reasons is now i have 2 bike that use the same motor, carb, a arms, and a bunch of little stuff so if something happens to one, i can pull it off the other ina pinch.
and norm im sure u kinda understand this, its alittle tuff to go from ridin the 400 to ridin the R, the power is so differnt, not that the R is much fatser but just differnt. to go from the r to the 400 is easy but to do the other way is tuff.

lou, you might need those bark busters to finish the race.

I know everyone thinks there for protecting your hands, but there more for saving your front brake and clutch lever. They also make the bars about 5 times stronger.

My bike flipped end over end 2 times and bent my stem but my bars were still straight!

I understand if you think there ugly.

I have a set of magnum(made by acerbis) they look almost exactly like the acerbis rally pro hand gaurds(the ones on my bike)
I bought them for a friend but he backed out lemme know if you would want em.

What colour you gonna PC the frame?? maybe you should polish it all up then PC it clear. :blah drollllll,,,,,,,,,,, I love honda MX bikes with polished frames. :blah Droolling some more.

Only thing is i heard the lrd frames have a tendency to strip at the mounting holes cause its aluminium(if your not careful). But thats no biggie. Thats what helli coils are for.:D

well you've jumped them elka's what you think?? Well since it looks like the same set up on my 400 its prob not gonna like the big jumps if its set up for XC. Not that it cant handle them just that their spring rate and high speed valving is a little "soft" for the big stuff that needs more bottoming resistance.

I have had mine in the 20 to 40ft range max (I aint no freestyle nut so thats all its seen :) ) and if it gets a little high and lands a little nose heavy it tells you right away that these shocks were set up for XC and you want to have more valving and even a little rebound. Now put those LT's where they were valved for and you need to remind yourself how fast your going over all those rutts and bumps etc cause it just soaks them up.

Just my .02 1/2 anyhow.


Now who has the gards for sale????? or were ya giving them away?

On mine the front rebound (not adjustable) seemed a little to fast on the bigger stuff since getting the preloads level, but it has been very cold since then and I am not sure that has effected it.

If your talking the rear I dont have any complaints on the rebound (adjustable) there but I am working out an issue with the compression being too stiff in the last couple inches. This is an issue due to the sag on this set up, and therefore less down travel to start with. I has been suggested that there could be something out of what internal but thats still to be determined.

Funny that on mine the front is too soft for mx but the rear seems to like it, for XC its just the opposite.

To answer your question: you dont want the rebound to slow for any terrain cause it will cause packing, then again too fast and you loose tire contact. So yes you want slow but not too slow, but try it and see if its "plush" cause if its not then you may need to set it up. This may be the one to use for the susp 101 thing.
