Doug Gust has been around for a while.

If you really want to go retro use the '86 reproduction decals (can be purchased on ebay) along with some gold wheels. I've always been a fan of the stock R graphics with the '88 being my favorite.

i think gust and jones are Old school, Hawk is the real old school but gust is in his 40's along with Goodman!

what year graphics do you wank... like early 90's or like the 2000's with the K&K flames...

Old school in my mind is Gary Denton, Mark Erhardt (unstoppable BTW), Gust, Eichner... in MTGP, remember those days, the Mickey Thompson Series...

Gust is like ten years older than Goodman.

X2

And what did Denton win? Like 7 or 8 championships. Nothing flashy, just got the job done...but then again I think it was more like that back in the day.

Gust is much older than Goodman. For comparison, Denton was winning championships when the "Bee" was still on a mini. By the way, Denton was one of the smoothest riders to ever race a 250R.

Sloan was fast, tough as nails, and an innovator on the woods side. If you want some more older GNCC fast guys, here's a few: B. Hawk, J. Tretinik, Holbert(s), C. Delullo, N. Bish, R. Dains, R. Matteson, C. Gilette, T. Trey, J. Brown (passed away much too soon)...that's just a short list.

These guys were extremely fast on incredibly stock equipment. Sloan (JP Racing) and then Hawk (Laeger) became the pioneers for the aftermarket framed XC 250R.
