Did you call/email Custom Axis to see what they would need to charge if you brought the 17 inch shock to be lengthened to your chassis length?

Reason I am asking, I had to change the length of my Custom Axis CR500 link shock. It came on the the quad 19 inches and it needed to be 18 1/4 inches for their specs. I cannot remember the exact cost for changing, but I think the complete change was around $300. I needed the shock fixed before the next race, so I chose a cheaper quicker option.

Basically they needed to change the shaft and the body of the shock. They only changed the body to get me to 18 1/2 inches and I will get the shaft changed over the winter.

So find out from Custom Axis the rough cost to change the shock for your chassis. You might be able to pick up a cheap 17 inch shock and then send to Custom Axis to be changed...and still have a good deal.

Just trying to help on your search...

Yea I have a no link shock I could probably have converted but I'd rather just have a cr500 one. Still looking if anybody has one.
