1985 ATC 250R...Might Buy, Help???

thinking about buying this, whats it worth guys let me know, you guys are pretty much dead on with it lol, i have a trx looking for an atc now, they look like fun

,3 sets of tires, Makuni racing carb,CRF header W/Answer pipe, sidewinder sprocket and chain system, jug was just port and polished,new piston and rings.


he has all the papers for it and the original owners manual, says its been well maintained, its an 1985...

guessing, $1000ish, kinda depends on seeing it first hand. don't really keep track much any more, but if it's worth what he thinks it is I'm gonna be happy cause I still got one.

Yea, I'd say maybe $850-$1150......bad thing about a '85 is you have to use '85 parts on most or almost all of the rear end. They don't interchange with other years.

i would offer him 800 at first! then go from there. if he really needs to sell it, all you have to do is flash a little green! the sight of hundred dollar bills make people do funny things!

It can be touchy sometimes. Certain people are weird and feel insulted if you offer them half and then are less likely to bend as much. Sit around try to B.S. with the guy a bit try to get a feel on the type of person he is. If he wants $1500 start at $900 maybe end up at $1100 that way you only budged $200 and him $400.
