I am selling my 1989 250R. If the entire quad does not sell for what I am asking $4000, I will part it out. Located in CT.

Before you all start up with the price, the motor in my Walsh race quad blew up and I would like to keep the motor since it is great shape, but money talks...

NO TRADES!

Here is a partial list of things on it...

1989 stock frame - heavily gussested.
Laeger +2 A-arms - powdercoated gray, stock travel
Laeger Swing Arm - powdercoated blue metallic
Lonestar anti vibe stem - stock length, chromed
Black Mair race cut plastic with blue One Industries graphics kit/seat cover
Race seat foam (stiffer than stock)
LRD adjustable exhaust - chrome
LRD silencer - black
TCS converted front shocks - dual rate springs
TCS converted rear shock - single rate spring
Durablue +4 axle - old style, very durable
Beadlock front/rear rims
ITP holeshot tires front/rear
89 cylinder ported by REP on 1st bore.
CR head gasket, runs on 112 octane race gas.
Lower end with 86 gears, newer crank/bearings throughout. Only damage to cases is oversized (helicoil type insert) oil plug
Stainless steel braided brake line front/rear
Denton steering stablizer.
Hinson clutch basket
Many other various parts...too much to list.

This was all built by myself over the years with pride/care. The quad runs/handles awesome. Oil changed after every race. I will have pictures this week.

I do have a couple pics on my webpage...

I got that PM and will have more this weekend as for pics and prices.

But if I can sell the complete quad, I will. As much as don't want to loose this bottom end, money talks.

your post is a little hard to understand. so is the price $4000 with the motor?

Yes...4 grand with the motor.

I am buying another quad for my son to race next season and need to sell this one. If I cannot sell the complete quad by this weekend, I will be parting it out.

My Walsh 250R blew up the tranny, destroying the cases so I am very tempted to keep the motor.

The top end was re-sleeved and on its first bore. Piston was replaced 1/2 way through the season (4 races).

The lower end...
-- cases in great shape, never repaired.
-- Oil plug one oversized, using an insert.
-- 89 Crank was new from Honda, has this season racing and not many hours prior (took a few years off so putted around yard, hit a race here or there)
-- Water pump replaced early this season.
-- All bearings replaced with crank. Not sure of exact date.

The reason for the $4000 price tag is mainly the motor. Like I said, I do not want to get rid of the motor but...$$$ talks.
