I havent been sening much during the daylight hours here. So much so that I backed off hunting last week and decided to let things cool down to see if me being up close was causing the issue. I am pretty sure hunting pressure on a neighbors property, the great acorn crop and the mild weather has ben doing most of the supression work on my deer.

This Doe usually is pretty forgiving, but today she was abit agitated and wasted no time bounding away from me.

Awesome pictures Pappy. That one is a real nice buck... wouldn't mind him walking infront of my tree stand.

I hear ya there. usually the rifle only comes out if I have a slow season which so far this year for me it is with college and everything but I have a few nice ones I'll be after next week during thanksgiving break. I did open up bow season with a nice bear on opening day in NY so that was pretty cool. Good luck to ya!

how embarrasing. that poor doe finally gains the courage to let you take a picture of her behind, and she has dingle berries all over. poor thing. i'm blushing for her:devil:

hey pappy, are all these "spots" that you take pics at, are they on your property?? if so, how much land do you own if you dont mind me asking??

Most of the deer shots are taken here, the geese and ducks usually along the river or at private lakes and ponds. I have a little less then 15 acres, but have permission to hunt more land that adjoins mine.

I live next to a 25,000 acre public land managment area, but the animials are hard to find there due to heavy hunting pressure. usually a walk around the house provides me with chances, or i sit in blinds or take a drive. A vehcicle can be a killer blind for photography, animals are so accustomed to them!

The rut only last about 3 days after the full moon here in PA..it sucked. The weather played a big part. It was way to hot. For 3 days I saw 10 different bucks, then NOTHING...good luck

The rut will come in and out as the weather affects it, ive seen bucks chase does in february and actually had one on video mount a doe in march.

I dont think we will get much cool weather here into mid week next week but hopefully I can catch a nice one coming through here. There are bucks in here that make this one look small....but they dont get that big by being dumb:p
