I have a question about a chevy el camino....i really like them and wont get rid of my truck for a car just because of getting my quads around.....would a 50inch wide 450r fit in the back trunk of an el camino....im just curious because i am considering buying one. does anyone on this forum own one????

79.5" at longest point, front bulkhead to tailgate
45" between wheel wells
59.1" between side builkheads
53.1" tailgate width

just have to leave the tailgate down....

I just sold my '79 over the weekend, was also my first car:( but if the one tommy posted comes out looks like Ill be getting another one!

I had one years ago.87-90.I hauled by 250r to a lot of races in it with the tailgate closed.My TT 250r that in those days was not 50 wide and had 3" taken out of the stock swingarm of my 86.That being said I don't remember exactly the room left in the length or width.But rember if you are only looking at specs that the bed starts to taper in at the front and some width specs you get may not be full length.I am sure someone on here has had a 50 in one and will be posting a answer soon posibly with a pic.

yes if anyone has a pick of a 50inch wide quad in the trunk of an el camino please post it.......im not sure what year i want (hopefully 65-72) but i like 80's style as well.

65-72 would be the only year el camino i would own.
