you could flip the biggy backs to the front. then they will work for sure but i have seen numerous guys with them backwards running scoops. steve

Man I want to make me a set of those. I have the aluminum to do it I just don’t have a template to go by. I worked in a sheet metal shop for about 5 years so surly I could do that. Problem is I’m the only one in my area that runs an ex and I don’t know anyone that has one. It’s hard to believe that as popular as the ex is I have been the only one to run an ex in the last two years. Please post some more pics, maybe not so close and maybe I can get a better look at what you have. A few measurements will help also. I like the way those look.

Thanks for the compliments. I'll see what I can do about digging up some other pics for you. Maybe I can even get some measurements too.
A while back I remember an old thread where some members posted some patterns for scoops.
I'm sure if you did a search for "scoop(s) pattern(s)" in the 400ex forum, you be able to find it pretty quick.

Mine are actually made of polished stainless steel, and are fairly old. I dont remember exacatally what brand they are, (I bought them used from a guy on EBAY). but some time ago one of the older members said they were MF's, or HM's, or FM's , or something like that.

Funny thing is, the guy I bought them from was selling them because he thought they could not be used with rezzie shocks. It only took me 20 minutes with a rotory file, to trim the lower edges to clear the rezzies. you can see my trim job in the pics if you look closely. They mount very solid, and do not rattle at all.
(they also are nice for reflecting the light forward from my strobes)
heres a couple short vids of that...

Now ya see your just showing off. LOL!!!!!!

That’s cool with the strobes. I had a horn on mine once but I got disqualified for using it in a race. haha
I was dogging this dude for about two laps and kept blocking and checking up so I hit the horn and it freaked him out and he missed a turn. It was funny as hell and worth the disqualification just to freak him out.

I only have enough material to do one set so I have to get it right the first time.

If you don't mind, hit me with a pm when you get the pics gathered up. I'm in no big hurry, it's going on the winter season now and the air temp is low enough.

I like the stainless, I think i'll paint mine.

Did you make that bumper?

Ok I can see a little better in that one. I’m in no hurry so it would be great if the next time you have the finders off you could snap a pic for me. Here’s a pic showing what I’ve done to mine so far.
