wondering if anyone would trade me for some non cracked Red plastics. the only problems mine have are 3cracks in the left rear fender right by the seat. and otherwise the back ones are good besides that. and the front fenders are perfect except for the little crack right on the curve on the nose. i will post pictures later today. and there are 2 holes drilled so that the front brackets will say on the left side if you're sitting on it. I WILL POST PICTURES LATER. all you would need to do is find someone with a plastic welder to fill the holes and cracks. i do not know of anyone in my area that has a plastic welder. this is the only reason i want to trade or i would fix myself. let me know if there is a website that i can go to, and pay them to fix them, or if i can trade them in for new plastics. THANKS!!!

The reason the plastic seems tilted down on the left is because i dont have the bracket on it rigth now, but i am putting it back on tonight.

I can buff if you want. there are only surface scratches from pine trees.

your better off just riding it the way it is. wouldnt worry about those minor cosmetic flaws. its a honda its always gonna look good :D

Ya. but the cracks are slowly getting worse. and idk if there is any place that i could rent a plastic welder around here. i know body shops have them, but idk if i can rent it from them, or do them there . :/

i would be more worried about that leak in your valve cover than three little cracks in your fenders

A seat cover would be my top priority, forget the plastic

Fair enough, I hear you on the step by step part, I would just reorder your steps.

oh my bad that looks like its your spark plug hole. have you done anything to it to make it look wet?

no... lol maybe. idk, but i may have put too much oil into it, but i read on here that you're not supposed to put vehicle oil in it. and i put in 10w40 i believe, so im goin to the honda dealer sometime this week. but why?

and the seat is already junk and was when i got it, so i'd have to buy a foam and seat cover, and that's not one of my priorities right now.

that big stain on your spark plug hole is what made me think your valve cover was leaking. i looked at a manual and realized that was your spark plug hole.

that's not the sparkplug hole your seeing. 300exs have the sparkplug on the left side (if your sitting on it) almost every 300 iv seen has a leak where he does. but you could ziptie at the ends of the cracks to stop them from getting longer. but you do need many many things before plastics.. lol

ok ya i have never owned one, i must have just read the online manual backwards then. you'll probably want to give that a look, cuz even if its common, it doesnt look good

dip stick, but it's really hard to read.

make sure your reading it correctly its very important. check it when its cold n check it after its ben running a while this will give you an idea how much the oil is expanding. for ex. your oil res could read half full when cold but when its hot it could read almost full just my 2 cents

theres a plug you can replace i belive when i rebuilt the motor it stopped. i ran 15w 40 motul semi synthetic in mine before i acquired my paralysis...just letting you look under 300ex information i posted a reply under the more 300ex info thread about putting ona 400ex frnt end everythings explained and very cheap to do versus bying after market and rides great as long as the used 400ex shocks are not beat to death or blown.

so you would rather have a pretty quad that doesn't run because of insufficient oil? good move

also, if you're having a hard time reading your dipstick then your oil is probably way old or too low. drain that out, get a new oil filter, and fill it back up with Maxima ATV Premium or something else ATV/four-stroke specific. you need about 2 quarts if i remember right.

edit: and that leakage on the right side of your top end is just part of the valve cover/cam plug. there's no gasket there, you just need to pull the cover off and clean both surfaces very well then apply a bead of RTV gasket maker
