warrior wiring question

I have a 2001 warrior, and am looking at a 1996 yamaha warrior to buy it has no spark, my question is? is there any difference between the 2001 wiring harness and the 1996 wiring harness?

would like to know so i can switch the parts out and find the problem in order to buy the right part, its either the cdi box or the stator.

if anybody has an idea please let me know

with the stator 04-02 were one type of plug, 01-96 were another type and 95-87 were another.

yeah and the cdi boxes were the same way. theres 3 different ones depending on the year model...
