I know there is a thread about the installation, but I was wondering if someone had some pictures of their shock mounts after installing the shocks. I have a set of KFX 450R shocks and the the top eye is like twice as big as the stock shock eyes. I don't see how they'll be able to fit into the mounts without completely cutting one side of the mount off. Please let me know if I am missing something.

I believe with those shocks you need to grind the side of the shock eye down to fit in the mounts, make sure to take the same off each side until they fit. You may also have clearance issues with the tacked in nut for the plastic mounts. You will need to knock the nut off and then use something with a smaller head, I found some machine screws that worked for me.

That what I thought. That doesn't sacrifice strength at all?

I cant imagine it would be that bad, plus I showed you a link of someone that already did it and they have not reported any problems.

Yeah, you're right. There are a few different guys here who have done it with success. I was just wondering if anyone had some pictures of their setup after all the grinding.

Well if I keep replying it will keep this post at the top and one of those guys will be forced to read this and reply lol. When you get them mounted let us know how they work.

Ha, excellent idea. I'll be installing them on Thursday and then probably going out for the weekend to tune and test them.

Yeah, I saw that. I need some pictures of some mounted KFX 450Rs, though.
