View Full Version : Where are they now?

I was watching an older Huevos movie the other day and it got me thinking. I'm not sure how the site decides on the stories/interviews it does, but a where are they now series might be cool. Just a couple mx guys off the top of my head, Luburgh, Creech, Cain, Spader, and so on. I'm sure others could think of several more.

I also don't really follow CC or TT but I'm sure there are a ton of guys there.

Just an idea. It would be nice to hear an interview with the actual former rider instead of the guessing that goes on here in the forum.

Old Huevos :( Why cant they still be that good? They had like a bit of everything.

huevos 3 was my favourite. i must have watched is 50 times

I might hold the record for most watched Huevos videos haha. 3,4, and 5 are my favorites. I would watch them in repeat. I figured out how many times I watched them in a months span. 4 times a day every day means 124 times a month lol This went on for months alternating sometimes watching the newer ones in between but I think 5 was played every single day. I can listen to the music in them and see the video in my head its pretty cool. I guess you watch something enough you just memorize it like that.

Hell yeah. You should see what Greg's track looks like now.

How about this one for a where are they now. Josh Starret and Jimmy Elza. I've heard rumors but no straight answer on either one.

Heres a thread from 2006 about Elza. Looks like he had too many injuries.

Just like everybody said in that thread, it's a shame. He was basically a Joel Hetrick during his time; probably better. I think if he didn't get hurt he would be leaps and bounds above everybody racing.

Yea man I agree... dude was really fast. If it wasnt for all the injuries he would probably be a top rider in the pro class now.

About that Huevos 4 clip. What's that song, and the 250R has to be about the coolest looking fourwheeler ever!

I was also one of those that watched these videos time and time and time and time and time again.

I agree on the one of the greatest, but I wouldn't consider JJ smooth. More like hold it to bars and hope for the best.

I will never forget the second moto at Mill Creek in 06. He and Gust got together and Jones went over a berm near the finish line. When coming back on the track Wimmer hit him and Jones ended up near the back with a f'd up nerf bar that had to make riding uncomfortable. The push he made to come back through the pack was incredible. I have never seen somone ride a quad so fast. On the very edge of out of control. That will always be my favorite memory of watching him ride.

I really liked Jeremiah's part in Huevos 8 on his Z. I loved how hard he was charging. The best part was when he launched off a single right into a whoops section. When I first saw that I was like "Holy Sh*t!"

I know Jeremiah was working for Yoshi and Hinson last season. He did race support and service for yoshi and hinson. He also coordinated sponsorships with yosh.
