Okay for everyone that has been waiting for the latest and greatest product by ZTR.....wait no longer! The NEW ULTIMATE SAW is here!!!!!
No I am not currently a site sponsor, maybe they will let this one slide...since its not for sale. And it's kinda ATV related. :D
Supplies Needed
<a href="http://s710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/jd100879/saw/?action=view¤t=IMG_1187.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/jd100879/saw/IMG_1187.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Simply need a hand saw, screwdriver, pair of vise grips and board.
First we start by cutting a slot in the board.
<a href="http://s710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/jd100879/saw/?action=view¤t=IMG_1189-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/jd100879/saw/IMG_1189-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Okay, the slot doesn't have to be completely straight (we're not building a space shuttle)
Next disassemble the hand saw
<a href="http://s710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/jd100879/saw/?action=view¤t=IMG_1188.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/jd100879/saw/IMG_1188.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Side note:
Take notice of the angle the right hand side of the blade. Try to cut a similar angle in the slot of the board. This will make more sense in the next step.
Now for the final step, install the saw blade in the slot and clamp with vise grips
<a href="http://s710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/jd100879/saw/?action=view¤t=IMG_1190.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/jd100879/saw/IMG_1190.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
Side note:
Here is why you want angle cut into the board, to keep the blade straight for the sawing action.
And before anybody starts to poke holes in the NEW ULTIMATE SAW design check out the following:
Limbs from honey-do list
<a href="http://s710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/jd100879/saw/?action=view¤t=IMG_1193.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/jd100879/saw/IMG_1193.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
As with all new products improvements can and should be made. This will be left up to someone else.
It goes without saying that these couldn't be reached by practical means of standing on the top step of a ladder (risking life and limb) without the NEW ULTIMATE EXTENDER!!!!
I am putting this out there for everyone to see and not offering it for retail. This should help to detour anyone from imitating the design and making millions from having it built overseas. :eek2:
CAUTION!!!!!!
This is not proprietary information. Not to be tried at home, consult your local professional handy man. In no way does ZTR Products take responsibility for any misuse of the NEW ULTIMATE SAW. Not available at a dealer near you.
And as most can imagine this was done out of fun and it actually does fill a need that came about this morning.
Maybe just maybe someone will also get some use out of this idea. MacGyver ain't got nothing on me. :D LOL!!!!
