I had a 145 main jet and stock pilot and I had one shim under the needle. I had full yoshi system with K&N filter and a big gun rev box. I live in Montana and the elevation I was riding in, was about 4500 to 9000 ft and it seem to be fine. Hope that helps.

I think it was 27 or maybe 27.5 not quite sure. I am sure that someone on here will know.

22.5 is stock , after mods a number of guys go to a 25 some as high as 27.5 ,if enough mods have been done.

155 - 165 should be were is should work , i'm thinking 160

this thing wont idle for ****..i just got it in trade a few days ago wouldnt run. valves were so tight i adjusted them it fired up.. only starts with throttle pinned then itll idlee with little throttle. i got idle screw all the way in it still dies. thing idles real stupid loud.. i think the exhaust needs packing but as for the idle problem? i got a 168 main 22.5 pilot but the pilopt looks big..reads 22.5 but it just looks big maybe he bored it out?

I once bumped my choke lever while riding and it sounds like it did the same thing as what yours is doing. On mine when you pushed it forward it was on choke I believe, that is the lever on the handle bars.

03 kfx400 here. Guy before me gutted the stock exhaust, removed the airbox lid, and put on a K&N filter. I bought all the steps to 32.5. Ended up going all the way to 32.5 before the backfiring stopped and the throttle response became more linear. Now it pulls nice. I think I'm running 150 or 152 for a main.

Also got one of those thumb adjustable fuel screws. It really helps keep the carb tuned to the max.

Not sure if the needle is adjustable on these BSR36's. Can someone confirm or deny?

no clips on the BSR 36, you have to go after market to get that
