good spot for key?

I'm cutting off my lights, and getting a hood for my 400ex. where have you guys put your ignition? any pics? thanks!!

mount it on the side of your fenders, like right below the handlebars but make shure it dosent hit anything when you turn i put mine on the left side, and after i drilled the hole i wished i woulda put it on the right so when i turn it on it would be like starting a car but instead it is on the left and i have to turn it backwards to start it

u could try running a toggel switch instead ..then mount it up under the front plastic...just a thought

You'll see mine mounted above the front fender...

put it on the right side, like 300exQuadRacer said, it will be more comfortable and you can hold your clutch in if you put it on the right;)

if your gettin a quad tech hood, itll have a tab on it for a key, otherwise, put it on the side, or maybe cut out some aluminum plate for it, and bolt it on your bar clamp?

Ill post mine tongiht.. I just done mine on the 300ex today, I put mine on the side close to tank,but not too close..:) and it dont bump nuthin..

I got a pipe clamp and clamped it around my frame.

thanx for all the great sugesstions!! I think i will stick to putting it in the front plastic somewhere. hopefully it will stay clean there.
