LED Head Light...Will it work?

Okay so I was looking at all my options for lights for my 87 250R. I stumbled across the LED light kit from LSR and saw that it can work without a charging system. I dont know much of anything about LED headllights. I was talking to LSR about it and they said all i need is a regulator, but are they talking about a AC or DC regulator? will the stock one work? INFORM :D
