Anybody know of any TRX250r with a late cr 250 motor? Looking into the math.......Sould I go with the aftermaket stuff or just pop a CR motor w/powervalve in there? :devil:

good question. but im sure you could get a built trx PV motor for what a late cr motor would cost.

I think if you put a cr 250 motor in a 250r frame it rides with alot of vibration. I believe there is a solution to the vibration but not sure what it is.

I would think that if you have a pretty solid bottom end, you could put on a modern ported, nikasiled powervalve 250r cylinder, use the 2001 CR250 ignition with light flywheel, and the 38 A/S carb, you'd have a better overall setup with no fancy fab work or vibration.

plus the cr motor kick starts to the back instead of the front
