Well i heard they have came out with some new floats , i believe one of the pros ran them at a GNCC race , anyone heard anything about em ?

I belive they are going to look the same as they always have. I know for a fact that some Pro's and Pro-am MX guys were running a differnt set-up than others were. like a anti bottoming system. Im not 100% sure and nor do i care cause i dont ride fox but im sure they are not going to look any differnt. only perform better.

And IMO i think the average rider/racer will not be able to notice any differnce in the new shock. alot of peoples thoughts on shocks come from what they want to belive.

There are very minor differences in the front, actually nothing performance wise if I remember correctly, just turing the bottom peice cast so they make more money and the bigger news is the rear where they have the new anti bottoming technology. Nothing super huge

Fronts:
The new generation FLOAT X EVOL has been refined with new Teflon lined bearings and low-friction seals for improved suspension response. A new single piece forged air sleeve cap and improved air valve protection further enhance its reliability and durability .

Rear:
A new 47 mm aluminum body reduces overall weight and improves heat transfer. Teflon coated bearings and a massive 5/8" DLC coated shaft reduce friction and enhance suspension response and durability. New piggyback body caps are available for KTM, Polaris and Suzuki models.

thats what i read on this thread, and if you look at the top of page two, looks like bold new graphics as well

Was thinking the same thing Justin. Definatly keep the PEP's over any crazy idea of switching to fox.

All depends what you want man, everyone has opinions when it comes to shocks. Either way you can't go wrong. But those shocks from jannsen on the link posted above seem to be a good deal if they fit what you got

idk man, i got elkas on the front, they're not even the elites but from riding my shocks to a friends brand new fox floats, i wasn't too happy with the floats, i 'd deffinitly stay with my elka's over fox's any day

I'm not trying to gas on a fire, but I run 20" fox floats evol DSC on my 450r and love them. I think if you take the time to get them setup correctly they are great, but can be a bit more complicated to setup. I have no experience with PEP's, would love to try them out... this is just my $0.02

Also, I've not heard or read much on how the new 2010 Floats are, but from the description above they seem to be the shock-world's version of "bold new graphics"... IDK

With the tuning that goes to any and all suspension systems. You could have the best shock in the world but if you don't take the time go test, tune and try things out your shocks will be no better then oem. But on the comment of bng, they do look really nice! :blah:

Yes it was considering I payed 900 for mine and they were used a couple of times... I need another set and may get the 2010's for my new build, if I can get them for 1000 new.

How do the Axis floats compare to Fox's? I see they are about 1700 new :huh

i have rode on both the axis shocks are nice but harder to adjust the ones i rode on was nitrogen filled and didn't really have any adjustments. the fox is the way to go (imo) the feel just as good and have alot more adjustability.
