Pressure plate, thrust washer, needle bearing, clutch lifter and lifter rod. There is a complete kit from Honda but I don't have the part # right now.

You need to search for Neils (C-Leigh Racing) clutch mod. You add a 400EX fiber, and I think CR500 springs etc. I'm not sure of every detail, but once you read it you'll understand.

lol neils clutch mod wont do a thing at this point en time with his current situation but should be done afterwards. ;)

go ahead en get the 89 update kit and do a search on the "performance engineering" clutch basket and search around for an OEM inner hub thats in great shape.

you will more than likely find that either the basket or the uinner hub or both have grooved.

well i broke the inner when i took it out so i got to get another one anyway. when i pulled it out the steels got darker colored as it got closer to the motor.

sounds typical since the inner clutches seem to wear grooves into the fingers qwiker than the ones closer to the outside. have you inspected for grooves?

the basket dint seem to have much grooves at all more in some places than others but still not bad at all. the inner has some and again not that bad. there is a bad spot in tne inner that looks like something put a groove in iton the top of a couple teeth that the steel could have caught.

When you slip a clutch enough to discolor the metal plates, it warpped those thin plates out of shape, so now they a not flat like they were when new.
It dont take a plate to be warpped very much to cause a clutch to not disengauge after the engines hot.

Your going to need all new plates, fiber & metal.

Heres the clutch mod.
CR500 springs
1 400EX metal plate to replace one of the 250R plates
6 of the aluminum washers like go on the transmission drain bolt

When you do this mod & you got to get new fiber plates anyways, in makes no difference if you get a high priced set of fiber plates or the cheapest you can find, cause slipping is over.

Pull one of the 250R metal plates out & then take the 400EX metal plate & put it in the middle of the whole clutch pack.
Install the CR500 springs & then on the outside between the spring & presure plate bolt, put one washer on each spring, aline them all up & tighten the bolts down evenly between each other.

Now, adjust your clutch lever adjuster all the way in & then adjust the cable end where it mounts to the side of the engine to take just about all of the play out of the cable & lever.
Once you run the engine some & all the new clutch stuff gets seated, may need to readjust the cable end on the engine just a little bit more or you could just fine tune with the adjuster at the lever.

C-LEIGH RACING so the washers put more pressure on the springs, right? and were can i find these parts. do i have to buy a whole set for just one plate?

You can get those parts from your closest Honda dealership or order on line from the many places that sell OEM parts.
Those 400EX metal clutch plates, the CR500 springs & drain bolt washers are sold each, not a whole set.

Theres probably a bunch of the Hondas got those aluminum washers on the drain bolts.
Reason for just that certain washer, its thicker than a normal 10mm flat washer, + the OD is smaller.
If you used a regular 10mm steel flat washer, it wouldnt fit down in the holes where the bolt & spring goes on the presure plate + the aluminum one is lighter.

i work at an advane auto parts and i was looking at the drain plug washers tonight and i found some that might work and they are thicker than a regular washer and aluminium

Keep in mind, that washer has to fit down over the post on the inner basket that the presure plate bolts screw into.
If the inside holes not big enough in those washers, it will just bolt down to the top of that post just like the washer made onto the presure plate bolt & not do anything to provide more presure to the springs.
