Ok, well I just put the bike together and it rode fine, but I can't get it to idle and I'm fouling plugs like crazy. I know it's running rich just wondering if anyone could give me some place to start. Also about 3/4 throttle up it starts booging down like it's either flooding the cylinder with fuel or missing?

Stock 88 bottom end with spacer plate and 68mm bore with a 86 style piston. Stock intake with tubes etc. and airbox lid (keeping it) FMF Fatty pipe with DG silencer
32:1 ratio using BelRay mix

PJ 34 Carb (stock)
slow jet (pilot jet) *45
R1471L Needle Jet 2nd clip from top
*40 slide
AB170 Main

Thanks,

170 main? :eek2: i would suggest dropping to 160 and seeing where your at. I ran a 155 with stock carb and near stock motor. im at 1,400 feet elevation.

with the stock carb you should be close with jetting. I would try 165/45 and see what happens. My old race setup is similiar to yours and I ran 162/45. with a lid and sparks pipe.

Will the size of the main jet have any effect on the needle jet or the idle? I'm going to drop down the Main jet and see what that does, I think the slow jet is good.

Does anyone else here run a 4.0 Slide? Most have a 6.0 correct?
