Just wondering is anyone makes a duneable over-ride for the 250R? I know a lot of Banshee guys run them. I think it would be nice nice to have one to ride around with and use it on the drag strip.:D

No, an over-ride eliminates the use of a clutch. A lot of guys that drag race use them. Once you let the clutch out off the line, all you do is pull the gears up......no clutch required. The down side is you can't let off the throttle until you pull the clutch lever back in. Otherwise you can toast your tranny.

What a duneable over-ride does is allows you to let off the throttle when you're out doing normal riding. They recommend not letting off at high RPM's. There's different applications for different riders/styles. My brother is building a Banshee with an over-ride, his is a 2-5 with a neutral down. So instead of having to try and find neutral, all he has to do is push the shifter all the way down. Pull up to the line, let go of the clutch, and just click away.

Here is a couple videos...1st one is a Banshee, 2nd one is a 250R

Here is some examples of what they do for Banshee's. The (m) you see means manual. So 1-4 w/ a manual 5th and 6th gear.

1-4 m5&6 320.00
2-4 M5&6 320.00
1-5 M6th 385.00 (no dunables)
2-5 M6th 385.00 (no dunables)
1-5 No 6th 365.00
2-5 No 6th 365.00
1-6 Fulloverride 475.00 (no dunables)

just a lil tid bit...........

last i checked on these trannies. the "straight" over ride tranny is avail. for the 250R but no one has gotten the bugs outta the dunable over rides. this is straight from dave moore racing himself and also from a local that cuts trannies.

Awe shoot. I can shift that fast without this "override" thing, lol.

Sounds like it's too dangerous AND expensive for just people who also do normal riding.
