so my best friend sold me a 1999 Honda 300ex and i love it but when i bought it he told me the carb flap had a chunk missing and only one jet is stock.so we went riding today and were pined in 5th gear and it starts sputturing pretty bad and he tells me its time for a new carb and jets but the bike started acting that way today but hey more power less bogging for me. so i took his advice because hes been riding forever and working on atvs longer than me and im asking how much would it be for a new/used carb and what type/size of jets should i get. please reply

Or not!

Go with a stock 400ex carb and get it jetted right and it will run great.
