as i just found out yesterday with my 450r carb jetting thread, these guys hate to have carb stuff posts. they will jump down your back and throat with some wire brushes and other hurtful devices. To help you out and save you from searching through the mostly useless threads, the edelbrock is a decent carb that some people really like and others dont. i would recommend getting a 450r carb and doing the swap instead of getting the edelbrock. it is a better price and can be easier to tune. The 450r carb can be bought for about 160 bucks from service honda, you will need a 450 throttle cable and a couple of other small things to do it. the edelbrock can be bolted on with the stuff you have.

heres a good article about installing the edelbrock.

BTW- can anyone tell me what is the best exhaust for my 400ex,
UNI vs. K&N,
fushia vs. periwinkle powerbands,
and how much horsepower do airscoops stickers really add?
