This rig started its life as a stock 2005 Troy Lee Designs Polaris Predator 90. It then received about $3500 in upgrades. This included removing the oil injector, a WRH Racing pipe and a Level 3 WRH National Class upgrade. New clutch, springs, sliders, new variator, 20 mm Keihnin carb, new jets. 53mm Piston (ported), HC head. Gussetted frame, wheel spacers, 19X6 front tires 18x8 rears, chain guide, AC pro peg nerf bars, aluminum wheel spacers, pro design kill tether.
In 2007 my son drove in water up to the carb and the cold water split the cylinder head.
This prompted a 100% dismantling of the quad as having to pull the motor led itself to wanting to powdercoat the frame.
Life got busy. It never got powder coated (but is ready for coating)
2009 - Motor went down to South Carolina and received a 100% overhaul. The electric strater was removed and a billet block off installed. A brand new 53 mm piston with ported and custom milled HC head. 1500 and 2000 rpm springs in a brand new lightened (300gr) HP clutch, new sliders, new weights, new race variator, all new high rpm bearings in tranny and case. 45 mm stroker crank. Brand new Stator. The motor was 100% disassembled and the cases match ported, chemical washed and polished.
I have also bought a Long Travel Elka resovoir shock with shock relocation mount.
A +5 swingarm, round house carrier, and +5 durablue axle (if you have read this far - I am sure you know what all that is worth), full rear disc brake setup, $100 chain tensioner, Fly racing bars with throttle (and racing throttle cable), handguards, and rear brake controller
What also is sitting there is a Honda 300EX front end (a arms, rotors, hubs, shocks) to convert the front end to a 10 inch travel dual a arm setup (awesome).
This would make this youth quad 44" wide and 6" longer than stock!!!
ALL factory original parts incl exhaust are included, plus tons of extras. Extra starters ($125 US each), throttle and brake lines, carb, number plates, spindles, etc. You could sell the new rear end, front end and rebuild the original with a race motor if you want.
This quad is F-A-S-T!!!!! Before these motor upgrades it was a rippin' two stroke machine. Now with new engagement springs, lightended clutch and variator, new ported cases and cylinder - it will RIP!!!!!! The shocks are presently valved for 100 lbs. I spoke with Elka in September and they say +\- 20 lbs for riding and it is $79 to have them revalve for different weight.
This would be around $8500 US if new.
My wife could race this quad!
My son has switched to MX Racing (Ya, I was really impressed after JUST finishing all the motor work!!!)
I can take pics of anything that is asked for.
