start button/killswitch?

Rolled the ds450 this weekend and broke the stock start button/killswitch, was wondering what you race guys use in place of this to start up the your ds450's or at the very least does anyone have a stock start switch laying around theyre willing to let go for cheap?

You can wire in a Kill button from dirt bikes to start the quad ( I Use a kill button from YZ dirtbikes.) you will loose the headlights and the kill button though and would need to turn the quad off w the key or a tether switch.

If you are going to use a kill button as a starter I would recommend the Fly Racing waterproof unit. its about $30-40

how would you wire it?

find the wires that go to the stock start button and just tie the two wires from the new kill button into those wires, there is a third wire on the Ds450 that needs to be jumped into one of those two wires, its a black ground wire on the DS.

Any idea where that black wire is at?

yes that will work, but be careful about the cheap buttons, they dont last very long.
