I know any head gasket with paper should not be reused but can the all metal ones be? I have a all metal Cometic head gasket with about 2 hrs. on it and want to do a head swap. I can't find anywhere that sells just the head gaskets only kits. I don't want to buy a whole topend kit if I don't have to.

search a honda dealers oem parts finder. you can get just the head gasket. 90-91 cr head gasket 12254-k23-000 is the thin one. i think the atc & 86-89 cr is 12254-ks7-881. the trx was the thick one. used to be a 12254-ha2-771, but i think it was updated. somebody may have better info for you.

But my bore is .80 over or 2mm bigger so can you get them through Honda for overbores?

I re-use them all of the time. That is if they don't tear or look bad. It takes about 30 min to change a head gasket or less.

Like said above, use the cr gasket if you want to bump up your compresssion and add a little hp. But you may need to use a higher octane gas if you do.

You do not need to get a 2mm over gasket. The stock one will fit.

My problem is I have 225-230psi and for some reason I am not pinging but still want to put the stock head on just because I feel I am missing out on some power?

Three Bond #1211 sealant & theres no end to how long you can re-use that metal head gasket, that is, as long as you dont bend or deform it real bad.
