boring stock carb

Ive been reading alot about this lately, Im more interested in th 06-08, but ive read about both and it seems to be a mid to top end mod, it seems from whst ice read it is something to help witht the built engines but I was curous if it made a difference on a stock engine or noit I expected it would help with the built engine. I wasnt going to have a carb bored for stock engine im just trying to get the mods I need to get the performance I am lookng for b/ct I only want to do t once
