wanted info on Borich's Sparks engine on his TRX

Does anyone know much about what was done to his engine. I know Sparks was building them but was it a 450 or were they running one of his 470 or 510 kits? I know alot of times others were running 525 or 500cc engines. I didnt know if Borich ran the same on each track, I figured he would run something a little different depending on the track being tight or open.
But if you got any info or opinions on it I would appreciate the post.

I would say its probably safe to say that he was running a 450 most of the time. The rules used to be weird back then on if you could run a big bore. I think at one point it was you could run a 525 if your quad came stock with it.

Idk though. He may have ran a 470 at some point.

well I was looking at sparks pages,
from what I heard he was running one of the CP pistons made spicially for Sparks, not sure what compression but I woulld it would be the CP 14-1
I know he ran the Titanium over sized exhaust va;ves, Of course Sparks ported the head and he was running the cdi exhaust etc?

I waslooking for info id it was a bigbore or not, most of sparks kits are now big bore jobs some are bolt on.

I would try Wes Stone..he had his Indy Dealer Show bike. Stoneconcepts is his business on Ebay...

yeah thx i know wes but that indy quad was show only and no internal engine wrok was done oin it, im calling sparks on monday

well i can tell you this last year before they made the 450 max rule no one in the top ten ran a standard bore motor

Chris Borich ran a stock motor 450 with a hrc kit . Then his last season a couple races in he got a sparks head

ive heared the same as coreyatver posted so I wonder did he run the HRC cam or the sparks cam, Ive heard they were basically the same cam before.

quit speculating about sparks packages and just call them!!! ask for jeff or curtis....and they can build you whatever you want.

i told them i wanted a national holeshot pulling trx450r...and they set me up.....you call them and tell them you want a engine package and they will build it for YOU

and no...they didnt "sponsor" me either....but every penny spent at sparks is well worth it.
