Did you or are you going to revalve and respring? If you would, please give us a before and after comparison with some examples.

Thanks....

i didnt even have to cut the shocks when i put mine on. all i did was punch out the nut and put a carriage bolt in upside down.

It only took me about 1 min to cut the mount... its easy with a die grinder...

Nice! I've got some brand new KFX 450R shocks on the way. Paid $150 shipped for them on eBay. Can't wait to get them on.

yfz shocks are the way to go, shorter, makes aarms at the correct angle you want them and gtt makes them work better than any thing aftermarket garnteed, well you have to know your way around:ermm:

Interesting. Did it take any modification to fit them? Did you get a new rear linkage to lower the rear?

yes get a afjustble lowering link and you have to cut the top brackets because the upper shock eye on the yfz is larger but you could grind on th eeye i did not because i still use them on my yfz sometimes

Nice info. I think I'd prefer this over the 450R shocks because I wanted to lower it a bit anyways. About how much does it lower the front when the shocks rebound is adjusted suitable for the EX? I know it will vary for each rider, just getting an idea. Thanks

if you would get these resprung just ask for them to have a shorter spring on them then your fixed and still have honda on honda

do you have the spring preload collars back all the way off. it makes them softer and lowers the quad a bit with the correct squat. i wouldnt get them redone unless you race or just got the money.

What about the mount on the bike, did you have to trim it like the OP?

No, you just knock the welded on nut off and mount a carriage bolt in its place.

Thanks for the info, seems like if you ground it down like the OP you wouldn't need to modify the bracket on the bike either

Sadly you have to cut the frame a bit, it took me all of 5 mins per side being carefull with a small grinder.
