A 1992 might work, but I think its still analog. I believe after 1996 they went to digital. I would wait and get a 2001 CR 250 ignition. Thats what I did, I've been waiting for over a year now, and by doing so I got one for a good deal.;)

well i would like to have the 01 but i just bought a pipe and intake so the wallet is feeling a bit dry, the late 90's ignitions are much cheaper. I can get a full 98 ignition for 180 bucks.

Yea, but the timing curve is different. Thats one reason everybody wants a 2001. It "supposedily" has one of the best timing curves ever. Why not just run what you have now, save some money up, and wait for the right deal.

Cr ignition up through 99 are analog unless you buy an aftermarket cdi for the 99. I will say they are a waist of money you should hold out for the 00-01.

You don't have a choice, CT doesn't make them anymore.

Most people are better off not adjusting it anyway.
