remote kill switches, has anyone done this?

Just wondering if anyone has tried/installed one of the remote kill switches on their kids quads?
I have found a few on EBAY, and am wondering about how well they work. They claim a operating distance of up to 250'. anybody have any experience with them?

The neighbor has something similar to this on his daughters artic cat 90. I think it came with it though. I have only seen him use it once but it did work. In his case though his daughter left it running and got distracrted by her friends on the swings and he was too lazy to go out and shut it off so just used the remote! Was prolly 150 ft away or so.
