i always new that my step moms mom had her husbands truck in the garage(didnt even know what kind), ended up, before the man died(my step papaw), he had stripped an axle, and had all the parts their to fix it. but when dad moved in 6 years ago, it had already been setting for 8+ years, with crap all over it, so dad figured it was junk, and never dealt with it. we got bored so we cleaned it off, and put the axle in it, and turned out, its a hell of a nice truck. its a 78 f150 custom 4x4. he never let his wife drive it, and the one time she did while he was in the hospital, she caught a mailbax, and thats the only dent in it. the guy babied it. we cleaned up the engine, painted the rims, ordered tires for it. makes us wish we had asked questions about it earlier, we never even looked in their tilla week ago, lol.

heres it right after we washed it.

while im at it, heres the 50 chevy me and dad have been restoring for forever. its a work on it a little at a time deal. we get these spurts of working on it, then wont mess with it for 3-4 months. we hope to have it running during winter. cause if we get it running, then well get motivated to finish it.

my grandfather has one of those ford customs like the one you just inherited... I rode in it once and with it being as old as it is, I was surprised. The only thing was, it was his every day driver for like 15 years and then sat for a little bit.
